Watchdog readies to launch system to detect potential Internet threats

MOSCOW, Feb 20 (PRIME) -- The Russian communications service’s General Radio Frequency Center is getting ready to launch system Vepr, or Wild Boar, to uncover potential points of stress on the Internet, which can grow into information threats, in July–December, the center said on Monday in a statement.

“Information system Vepr is being developed since 2022. Now the first modules of the system are undergoing in-house tests, the launch is planned for the second half of 2023,” the center said.

Vepr together with Oculus, a system recognizing images with banned information, are part of the single system of monitoring of the information space.
